“I Cannot Live In The Ghetto”

Posted on June 28, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

“I cannot live in Rinkeby,Tensta,Norsborg and Fittja there are many foreigners there”….these are words from foreigners who have forgotten that they are foreigners…. I prefer living in Swedish areas where there are Swedes only…..what?

Would you prefer to live in a Swedish area and live in a one bedroom apartment or would you prefer to live in Rinkeby or Tensta with foreigners in a 4 bed room apartment?

Would you prefer to invite your friends and party when neccessary with loud music in the ghetto or would you prefer to ask permission by writing a note that you have a party in a swedish area?

Would you prefer to buy cheap meat, vegetables and make-up in the ghetto or would you prefer to buy expensive food in Swedish areas?

I have friends who live in Swedish areas and they have even agreed amongst themselves that they should not flush the toilet after midnight…because their Swedish neighbours will complain, they have also agreed that while walking in their own apartment after midnight, they should tip toe…to avoid noise and of course keep the neighbours from complaining…they have also agreed that when closing the door, they should pull it so slowly to avoid the banging…is this really your apartment???Why does it look as if you are stealing??

Did you know that some can even complain just because they have seen you…..?

If Rinkeby,Tensta and Norsborg are ghettoes, then what is Mathare,Ngomongo and Korogocho? You are still a foreigner with a different culture and life style from the Swedes, and this will never change so take a second look of yourself and recall  back your race….butdoisay!!

Killling in The Name Of Psychiatric Illness….

Posted on June 26, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

As much as I love living in Sweden,Sweden should wake up!!! There are alot of killings going on in Sweden…and most of it is being framed to psychiatric problem,I mean every individual has a psychiatric problem and the law should be stiff on this behaviour. How can a life sentence be 10 years or 20 years for a murderer….a murderer should get a life sentence as it means “LIFE”….minimum 60 years in jail. If I am not wrong its only the cats or dogs that live for 10-20 years.A murderer is sentenced for 10 years and after 10 years he is released and commits the same crime  again….dont they have Mathare hospitals  for mentaly retarded in Sweden? An example is Bobby,a  nine year old child that was murdered by the parents…most likely because of his colour combinations…the mother got 10 years which means that after 10 years, she can be released, give birth to another child and commit the same crime again…this is one person that  should not be allowed to enjoy the process  that leads to being pregnant at all.Another example is Anna Lindh and Juliet Kavinga…doesnt the system here value a human life?….or shall we all kill in the name of “PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESS”….Sweden wake up….BUTDOISAY!!!

Kenyan Whether Guilty Or Not Guilty!!!!

Posted on June 26, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

Dear readers,I was in court today to attend the hearing of one of the accused Kenyans in Stockholm…and amazingly we were just two Kenyans who attended the court session.Unfortunately,it was a closed door hearing so i could not hear much but as I was sitting outside the court,I imagined how even if innocent he would win the case. All in all …should Kenyans support those Kenyans being accused of any offence abroad? In my opinion I think we should support them by attending the court sessions…just to show the judge and the prosecutor that they have people who love them and who care for them, imagine you being who are….in colour ..being sorrounded by all white jury….or you being white being sorrounded by all black jury…..(this is a non racial topic)do you really stand a chance of winning a case whereby you are accused of rape and wife beating? We all have our negative sides and  I believe in each family there is a rotten brat and so we should support our accused Kenyans whether they are guilty or not guilty and let the law take its course…..butdoisay!!!!

“Grandma, Grandpa Stinks”

Posted on June 25, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

“Grandma and Grandpa stinks”……..These are the words from our bad raised children. Some children are so badly raised that they do not respect their grand parents. Its our duty as parents to raise our children with good morals and good behaviour.I remember when I were young i could hear children saying” imagine tomorrow I have to accompany my grandmother to town or i have to accompany my grand dad to the hospital” she stinks,I will be so embarrassed. Some children even totally refuse to accompany them.

We as parents have to let them know that these are our parents and they need to be respected…. however stinky they are!! There are some daily life behaviours that old age cannot keep up with..like brushing the teeth,washing- thus scrubbing the whole body well, wiping well after a long and short calls.

Those Grandies in Africa rarely use perfumes because they cannot afford it,the water in the big cities is also scarce and poverty contributes to all these too.

At the age of 80 its difficult for an old person to remember things…. so what about to wash…. you can even forget to wipe after a long call and this is not your fault.I have been looking myself on the miror and I have realized that I am getting some extra flesh on my face,I am getting some white hair on some parts of the body…I have also realized that some of my friends are also aging, their faces are getting extra flesh and they even sometimes forget to wipe the white substance from their eyes………these are old age signs buddies!!!

Let the children remember that they too will grow old and will expect a fare treatment……butdoisay!!

MAD PARTY- REALLY MADE A DIFFERENCE!

Posted on June 25, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

The weather tried to stop Kenyans from attending the MAD party but Kenyans became Mad with the rain  and attended the Nyama Choma party at Fittja beach. It was so organised that we had a tent to cover ourselves from the rain  and of course Dj Kajoe made us dance with the rain.

The Nyama choma was well attended by both  Kenyan friends,Tanzanians,Nigerians and some friends from the west Indies. Not much to mention but we would like to congratulate MAD for making a difference…..butdoisay…

M.A.D PARTY-MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Posted on June 23, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

A nyama choma party organised by M.A.D-Making A Difference is being organised today 23 Jun 07 at Fittja Beach from 1400 hrs and later around 1900 hrs an extended party will be held at Alby Skolan. All Kenyans and friends are welcome! If you cannot attend the Nyama Choma due to the bad weather, try your best to attend the after party at Alby Skolan to support M.A.D in making a difference.”Are they really making a difference?”

Yes they are,in so many years Stockholm have just been orgnising parties for grown ups,for organisations, for funeral arrangements and for Harambees. We had forgotten to organise some kind of a get together party for our children and thats why M.A.D was formed.M.A.D have had very successful organised parties that leave our children with smiles and we need to encourage this organisation.Who knows M.A.D might start organising holiday trips abroad for children and surely by MAKING A DIFFERENCE since most of our children in Stockholm are not exposed to holiday lives abroad like the Swedish Children. We need to plan for our children,a holiday is a holiday and not a day or days to stay at home and if we cannot afford it why not support M.A.D to make a difference?…….butdoisay!!

“Its The Thought That Counts”-Jee Huu Ni Ungwana?

Posted on June 19, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

Just trying to introduce “Je Huu ni ungwana”… A Swahili word meaning ” is this really decency”.There are some behaviours in our daily life that are uncalled for. Most of these problems are mainly faced by  Africans in general.Today, I am going to cover birthday parties and wedding parties.

These are very important occasions in every society not only in an African society. These are occassions that are filled with joy and celebrations. The hosts usually spend so much money in organising them, buying the cake, buying food and drinks and also booking the hall where this occassion will take place. They  also spend money buying invitation cards to invite their beloved friends.Receiving this card means that the hosts considers you as their friend…. and what do you consider them to be?

First, you prepare yourself by buying expensive clothes to look good that day…nice shoes with clothes to match them, nice perfume to smell good on that occassion and of course a pretty bag to marinate the whole outfit.

When the D-day comes….you are the first one to arrive at the venue, take the best seat where food and beverages will be knocking you first before they proceed…

At the occassion…You chew as if you contributed in purchasing the meal, you drink as if it was the last drink to be served, while drinking half the beer so that you can rush for the next one, instead of finishing the first one first. You speak so loud to attract attention or walk all over the hall to show off your outfit.

Suddenly the master of the ceremony announces that its PRESENTs TIME!!….You start  whispering to your pals that you forgot to buy a present or “why should I buy a present and they have  everything”….shame on you!!! How can you forget a present and how do you know that they have everything? Why arent  you forgeting where your mouth is while eating or drinking at this occassion?Je huu ni ungwana?

One does not have to buy a very expensive present…you can just buy a rose or even a candy that shows that the thought counts…..so what shows that the thought counts if you come empty handed? There are envelopes where you can just jot a few words and enclose 50 bucks as a sign of appreciation….”je huu ni ungwana kweli”…………surely, its the thought that counts………butdoisay!

Have We Lost Count?

Posted on June 18, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

Dear Readers,I have been reading the Swedish newpapers about the accused HIV men,and I was astonished to read that they have had sexual intercourse with more than 100 women. This is unbelievable,if you try to imagine your age and imagine their age that is below 35 years, would you have had sexual intercourse with over 100 women?

A friends girlfriend tried to count how many guys she has layed down and believe me she reached 75 and lost count…As for the accused rapists, were these prostitutes or were these girls that are just for sex on the internet? Its none of my business….but have you also lost count? I have not……butdoisay!!

“A Friend Indeed”.. “is a Friend in Need.”

Posted on June 16, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

Dear readers…this is  another problem affecting us in diaspora..you invite a good friend from Africa, you are a married man or a married woman, with a family, living in a very small apartment but you overlook all these and decide to accomodate your pal at your home.

You are a hard working person that leaves home very early in the morning and returns in the evening after a hard day.Your so called friend …is a lazy bustard who sleeps from 2000 hrs to midday the next day.He does not help you with the house work or even make food,he does not flush the toilet after use,he does not make his bed  after a long sleep..he does not clean the bath tub after a long bath…he brushes his teeth at the kitchen sink and leaves his cup or plate in the bed room or the living room.

As a humble person you do not complain at all these because you believe he will change as time goes by,and so he does not realize his mistakes.

As you continue your daily work the unthinkable happens…he/she decides to start seducing your wife or husband while you are away, they fall in love without your knowledge, and suddenly the attitude starts to show….he/she starts to disrespect you, becomes rude since she/he is in control.

Finally, they are in love and you are told to pack your goods and leave……indeed …a friend indeed is a friend in need!!!…..butdoisay!!!
