Did You Know That Mwaura Is A Councilor In Botkyrka Kommun?
A Kenyan living in Sweden, Mr.Daniel Mwaura Njuguna has won a councilor seat in the Botkyrka Municipality in Sweden. Botkyrka Municipality (Botkyrka kommun) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, not far from the capital Stockholm.
Daniel Njuguna becomes the first Kenyan to be elected for a political seat in the Scandinavian country and the second Kenyan in Europe to win a political seat this year after Elizabeth Kang’ethe who was elected the councilor of Parsloe Ward, Barking and Dagenham in London, UK.
Mr.Njuguna is a resident of Sweden for almost 20 years and had the support of the Kenyan community in Sweden, the Swedes and other foreigners. He comes from Thika in Kenya and as the people of Thika celebrate, the whole of Kenya joins in the celebration for the job well done. Congratulation councilor Njuguna.
