Kenyan Flag Flying Low In Scandinavia….

Posted on January 10, 2010. Filed under: 1 |

I have been paying attention to KSBs crying for the resurrection of  the Kenyan flag at the Kenyan Embassy in Stockholm for the last few weeks.I agree with KSB that the Kenyan flag should be taken care of everyday, all the  Kenyan Embassies should make sure that it is visible, at ease and flying high at all times.

I did make some few calls to the embassy to find out why nothing has been done or if something has been done after all the complaints from KSB,and I got an answer from one of the diplomats that the embassy was concerned ,and they did adjust the flag to its position but the weather has been making it difficult for them to keep it upright.

They also mentioned that KSB was right with its concern and the problem was rectified immediately during the first KSB article.

I also inquired if its true that the Kenyan flag should be raised every morning and pulled down after working hours in the evening as its always the case, and I was informed that that depended on every Kenyan embassy or mission abroad.

I was also made to understand that in real sense the flag should be raised in the morning with the national anthem and lowered down with the national anthem.I remember we used to do this in school every day,and some of the police stations used to do this too when I was young. We were forced to stand at ease during this process.

Have you passed by the embassy and seen the flag flying low, please let us know, I will try to take the latest photo of the Kenyan flag to let you know if it has been maintained.

By the way is capable  of taking care of the Kenyan flag everyday…..basi nipeni hiyo kazi jamani….we are never scared of heights…VI ORKAR!!!
