Seven years have passed since that fateful day in 2001. There are commemorations all over the United States. Barack Obama and John McCain pledged to tone down hostilities even as we enter the “silly” phase of the hotly contested campaigns.

They both plan to appear at Ground Zero to participate in the commemoration ceremonies and are also expected to lay wreath later today. Traders at the New York Stock Exchange bowed their heads at the opening bell to remember the victims.

Some of us will also remember that a Kenyan, Kaaria Mbaya, was also a victim on September 11, 2001. He worked as a computer specialist at Bridge Information Systems Inc which was located on tower 2 of the world trade center. Mbaya was 39 at the time of his death.

He went to St. George’s Primary in Nairobi and Nairobi School for his ‘O’ levels. He later went to St. Josephs (PA) for his bachelors in computer science and engineering and Villanova for his graduate studies.

May God bless all those victims of September 11 in Newyork including our own Kenyans that perished, lets hope Americans will elect Obama as the president, since its only Obama that will end terrorism by having a quorum with the Arab countries and the said countries that are involved in terrorism!!!!…butdoisay…
