Madaraka Day Grand Coalition Party A Good Step For Kenya Embassy Stockholm..

Posted on June 1, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

The Stockholm crowd was very well treated by the Kenyan Embassy during the madaraka day celebrations that was celebrated by Kenyans world wide. The turn up was good ,but I did not see some familiar faces that never miss this kind of a ceremony, either, due to the distance or maybe because they missed the information on Kenya Embassys website that has not become so familiar to Kenyans in Stockholm.

First, I have to admit that Kenyans have a good investment in Stockholm, through the ambassadors residence that of course belongs to the Kenya goverment. I guess its worth about 40 million Kronors. The spacious compound facing the sea is very beautiful, and incase you did not know, the 2 small islands you see beside the compound belongs to the Kenya goverment too. Good investment indeed.

As you arrived at the residence, you would see the grand coalition crowd, sitting together, sipping, discussing and of course laughing happily. I noticed a  good friend , a TALIBANI who arrived in a t. shirt that read, “A PROUD JA LUO” PROUD TO BE KENYAN”, and funny enough, he was sitted with some Kenyan friends, the MUNGIKI clan, and then they were joined by a friend belonging to MUSUMBIJI, but you know what, nothing cropped up…..they were all Kenyans chatting without any fear. A GRAND COALITION MILITIA MEN INDEED!!!

I also noticed that people could rush for group pictures without any fear to where they would end up, and I realized that as long as you use them in a good manner, you have a green light from Kenyans. We like pictures coz they do not lie, they tell you all, the age, the wrinkles and your personality.

The behavior was good, kudos Kenyans in Stockholm, you respected the alcohol and thats how it should be.The food was also good, but next time we need some chapatis, irio, githeri and maybe tilapia. Grand coalition in food too…. otherwise it was good.

One complain though, I did not see our Kenyan flag outside the residence, the embassy needs to raise our flags on the 2 islands and the residence too, it would mean alot to the outside world. Thanks once again….butdoisay….WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Clay Onyango.

Yeahhhh what a gr8 party. Kudos H E Purity and your team.

yeah,, that party was in good taste.. nice crowd.. kids having fun. adults in good discusions. makes you wanna think if there were more public holidays to celebrate. nyway in the spirit of parties tulijiejoy!! Cheerz Kenyan Emb!!

As expected, the strategy worked, with huge succes, those who failed to join Madaraka celebrations, should wait yet another year, now that the train is gone. If you cant beat them, join them, as the saying goes!!! There wasn`t anyway NO ROOM for losers. Serikali yetu akiamua, Imeamua!!
