“Africans Killing Africans”

Posted on August 10, 2007. Filed under: Butdoisay TRUE STORIES |

Can an African ever think of making an unprecedent journey to Africa by road……No Way!!!….”I will be killed on the way by my own people”….why will your own African people want to Kill you instead of helping you out to reach your destination??Good question…this is an ethnic group that is so difficult to understand….I can travel within Europe right now driving all by myself…and being killed would be the last thing I would ever think of….and why is that so? Ask me another…

Some Europeans drive all the way from Europe to Capetown and they reach their destination without any problem…but it might be difficult for an African to make the same trip by himself.Yes… he might be right that his own people will kill him,but do you  wonder why….its because we do not believe in ourselves…and when we see Europeans walking in our villages we even start singing for them, giving them a presidential welcome…Africans!!!….this guy is a NO ONE…..he is just travelling on credit….Have you ever been given a presidential welcome in Europe because they have seen you walking around their streets? No….and never even dream!!!

This is one reason we were slaves…I quess it was only 10 Europeans that took a million Africans as slaves while our strong fore fathers were watching,of course they got help from our own African people…and what did they get as  a reward? Nothing maybe a good beating……

And why do we have situations like in Rwanda,Liberia,Angola,Somalia, Congo,Ethiopia and Sudan…..AFRICANS KILLING AFRICANS….well I wish we would only kill men…but we go as far as killing children, women and old people…what have these innocent children, women and old women do to deserve all the huggings and the humilliation…I hate to see children and old women do long walks to nowhere running away from a war torn Africa that has been  created by Africans themselves……when and how are we going to stop making Africa a Killing field?…….butdoisay……

Clay onyango.

you dont need to go all the way to Africa to get killed. African are killing fella africans even here!! If an african starts something here for exaple utapigiwa chuu na your own pple insteed of promoting you. to me this is killing fellow african. Look at the arabs in this country, they do bizness and every arab supports them. But sisi ni wifu, fitina, ukabila and all da shit!! sometimes we think that wazungu are the ones to blame for our problems, to me until africans themselfs start respecting
fella africans dont expect others to respect us. Take for example the U.S.A presindetial election, Sen. Ombama is not liked by the so called “africans americans” why coz he is african and has roots in africa. All his suporters are wazungu with very high education. Its sad that we hate each other, kill fela africans, report them so thy can be deported etc.we have to change and love ourself like africans ninaseeema

Mr. I like what you do and at times I like the way you stimulate our minds to think and remember some things that are either long buried or they are at the periphery of our brains or something’s that we outright don’t want to remember or face………..
Well after saying that I would like to point out a few things that somehow need to be set right historically. More so as far as an African or a Blackman is concerned, and this in the light of what you say and I quote” I guess it was only 10 Europeans that took a million Africans as slaves while our strong fore fathers were watching”……..well if I may take you back afew centuries
It is estimated that over a million people lived in Cuba before the arrival of the Europeans. Twenty-five years later there were only 2,000 left. Large numbers had been killed, while others died of starvation, disease, committed suicide or had died from the consequences of being forced to work long hours in the gold mines.

After the arrival of the Europeans there was a sharp decline in the local population of most of the islands in the Caribbean Sea. This created a problem for the Europeans as they needed labour to exploit the natural resources of these islands. Eventually the Europeans came up with a solution: the importation of slaves from Africa.
At the end of the 14th century Europeans started to take people from Africa against their will. Initially they were mainly used as servants for the rich. The Europeans justified the taking of slaves by arguing that they were providing an opportunity for Africans to become Christians. By the 17th century the removal of slaves from Africa became a holy cause that had the full support of the Christian Church. Although here I don’t see anything christlike in slavery….
By 1540, an estimated 10,000 slaves a year were being brought from Africa to replace the diminishing local populations.

British merchants became involved in the trade and eventually dominated the market. They built coastal forts in Africa where they kept the captured Africans until the arrival of the slaveships. The merchants obtained the slaves from African chiefs by giving them goods from Europe. At first, these slaves were often the captured soldiers from tribal wars. However, the demand for slaves become so great that raiding parties were organised to obtain young Africans…………
Talking of chiefs in Kenya history needs to be set right….i usually hear people say mzee Kenyatta fought for independence can anyone enlighten when did he did fight for it? Was he a lucky guy who was busy looking for “mapepa”huku ulaya the guy came to Europe in 1929 stayed here and married and eventually went back in 1946….after ku get mapepa…..
By the time he fikad home he was the guy who was good in English so he took over leadership married the daughter of senior chief koinange who in his own right was working for the british bythen they were called home guards..in real spies fpr mzungu to report any maumau activities….went to prison…where as history has it his own people the famous kapenguria wanted to kill him for he was more of a sellout….he was relocated t kapenguria….
If you doubt my story why is it that after independence none of the famous maumau fighters were in government? How comes the names such kungu karumba, general waigoti, kibigoti etc etc to name but afew opted to live in exile in ethiopia? How comes that after that he never removed the remains of dedan kimathi from prison? well well……..i wonder kama clay will let this on blog so let me leave it at that………..but I got the conclusion…..on why Africans kill Africans…………………….

What can I say, thankx Clay for this blog apart from the funny stuff, im getting educated on stuff i had no idea about! Things about Kenyan history that I never learnt at school.

Jambo Kusmus and Melody,I appreciate your appreciation….Kusmus feed us more with some Kenyan history if you
can so that I can publish on butdoisay,we need to know more of our history…its really interesting, thanks.

Let me leo try and finnish with this maneno ya historia yetu ya jamhuri………
Have you ever heard about the famous quote by the founding fathers and by founding fathers I mean Kenyatta and the co…..after in dependence there was this unsaid untold saying that “bendera haitavuka river chania….this may mean a little less to anyone who doesn’t know the local politics of the day i.e. pre independence Kenya …most of the kikuyus who lived in kiambu and the surroundings’ areas were mostly employed by wakoloni and those others served as home guards…and hence the most feared matusi of by then was …”gati”…meaning a home guard who was considered a sell lout because they were used by the white man to report and arrest the maumau………..
Nb not all kikuyus from kiambu and surrounding areas were sell out we have men like mzee waiyaki although they Happen to have encountered the mzungu ealier before the mau mau gained roots mzee Waiyaki Wa Hinga was an okuyu a pre-colonial chief who ruled around Dagoretti. He encountered the British around 1890 when he signed a treaty with Fredrick Lugard of the Imperial British East Africa Company (IBEA), who later pitched their tent at Dagoretti. Lugard and his men harassed the Gikuyu people and demanded for their food and their women. In retaliation the Kikuyu burnt down Lugard’s fortress at Dagoretti. In 1892, the colonial administration kidnapped and took him to Coast where he is believed to have met his death……guess who were the actual abductors?…homeguards……..worse part of it is He was buried alive by his abductors…….how did we Kenyans choose to remember him ?by having a street named after him….we really are great in honoring our departed real heroes……………
I get carried away by history back to the topic about river chania…most of the guys that benefitted from the newly independent Kenya were guys who were helping the mzungu, then you can guese the 1st things that they did? Shamba..yes that was the 1st thing that was quick to be ngawanwad among the elites(homegurds)the whole of the current kasarani and the surrounding areas was the property of H.E onyatto..which the family has been selling upto date….then go to coast the guy grabbed virtually everything there and just the other day his son gave out 34000 acres of land….then everyone was happy that ameonea wasiojiweza huruma akawapatia shamba..****%&**”#¤¤#** softway way ya kusema matusi….do you remember in your history class of Mekatilili Wa Menza
Mekatilili led the Giriama people in a rebellion against the British, in what many had seen as a fulfilment of a prophecy, that she would be a leader of her people. This was a rare prophecy in them days coz an African hearing ati a woman will lead them to defeat an enemy who has come all the way from where the sun sets, ilikuwa ni maajabu anyway . She resisted British invasions and attempts to stamp out the Giriama traditional culture through the destruction of kaya, sacred forest shrines and places of worship. She was then captured and exiled to Mumias in Western Kenya, where she was held together with Wanyi wa Madori her cousin. Five years later, she returned to the coast. Was she ama her relatives among the people walingawiwa mashamba?…..jijazie
Then some one says ati amepatiana shamba…”¤”#%¤#&.my foot……. Anyway with the above and many many cases za outright ongogaji most of the dudes that had sacrificed their life for freedom saw it as just changing the colour of the person rulling from white to black but retaining the same person albeit in different shade this case black,so what did they do ?they flew…ohhh not flew walked to neighbouring countries to start afresh…..infact apart from general china who until juzi juzi was the mdosi wa natinaonal youth service, most of other guys who decided to stay died poor…bythe way the other before ochieng aneko passed away am not sure but I think it was bildad kigia the guy was living in baha..bahati nyumba za kanjo……without even proper sanitation without medical care…then when he died what happened ….they sang how great he was then post humorously made a big shrine at his burial place that costed tax payers money….i bet labda wherever he is ..akihanda mianga niarakena muno nikumoakura berera ya goro akua na riria are muyo ona mae ndare na muheii…..
Then you guys remember mambo ya cold war between US na Russia, well this two countries had to sell their propaganda ama their way of rulling or governing this read..communism for Russia and democracy for US they needed to get sharp students from newly declared 3rd world countries so that they can train them and hopefully the students will go back and sell their way of government back home from Kenya which children were sent to either US ama Russia?sons of kina musa yandusi…incase you don’t know who that is huyo ndio alikua mbuyu wa simeon nyachae…pia yeye was another senior chief.. haya that’s another story for another day………
Seems like iam not lucky in finishing the story today labda kesho but do I say?

Fyfan kusmus, you really know your history even better than i know the back of my hand, mpaka unajua kina senior chief nyandusi babake nyachae? lo!!!! with all due respect i bowdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!
