Chris Kirubi Is So Mean It Hurts!!!!

Posted on May 15, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Yesterday, the president held the first of several harambees to raise money for internally-displaced Kenyans. Many, including a Mombasa Kenyan-Asian who donated Ksh6 million, gave generously. Even people like Kalembe Ndile (Ksh30,000) and Njenga Karume (Ksh1 million)donated fairly well. The president and his family gave Ksh5 million. Then it came to the turn of Mr Kirubi. The first irritating thing he did is that, unlike other donors, he thought he was important enough to give a speech. Then he tried to sneak his donation without announcing it, but the people on the floor shouted, ‘ngapi, ngapi’. You know what, to help resettle 400,000 fellow Kenyans, the owner of Haco Industries, Capital FM, CNBC and director of about 20 companies donated KSH200,000!!!! That, my friends, is just $3,200!!!

Kirubi is soo mean it hurts. Surely he brags of puting on the best cut suits. I think that is a price of his two suits. This means that on such an important national event, Kirubi can only donate 2 suits to thousands of his fellow naked Kenyans to share. Thats a big shame for a person of his status.

I us’d 2 admire im & everithin but the donat’on “dome” tears im apart,we o’l knw kirubi wazn’t the cauze o the IDP since it’az politicaly replicated. Really ’tis disturbin,g’ve im a break! it wazn’t ‘is fault &again wat he donat’d is wat he’ll get back on judgem’nt-day!!

Talk about what you know people…find out maybe why he only donated that amount????

U r such an idiot jackass lowlyf who doesnt hv better thngz 2 do thn poking on pplez lives so if he donated 200 kay wots ur problem hw much did u donate?kwani niyeye aliwafanya wakuwe displaced u r a scumbag who need sme manners

you did not help him get that money so you shouldnt be complaining what amount he gave. Most important is that he gave something. Failure to plan on your side and the side of the IDPS and the government does not constitute an emergecy on his part. Failing to plan is planning to fail.
He gave what he could and thats period. Ofcourse thats less with what he has but then he is not the governemnt. He is a citizen and he is not obliged even to cash in on such insuarance factoed situation.

wewe.. 200Gs is GOOD money, regardless of how other guys donated. maybe the other guys had enough guilt on the whole IDP thing, and maybe CK has given much more in other ways!!
the other thing is… you are right.. CK owns all those businesses, and nobody has any right to tell him how to spend his money.
lets not be so damn narrow minded!!!!!

It is quit amazing that this even makes a topic. We should be great full that the man actually gave something. People don’t get rich by giving their money away regardless of what its going to be used for.
All those pointing fingers… may i ask how much each of you contributed?? Why attack this man in particular?? i didn’t hear you talk about the Kenyatta family….how much did they give? how about the Ndegwa’s? they are among the wealthiest in this country?? Lets be thank full for the little we get rather than being judgmental and prejudicial!!!

do you have any idea what it takes to make that money, kirubi doesn’t the tax payers money, he earns it. he doesn’t earn a salary by sitting around and working three days a week like our mps he works 7 days a week.building an empire like he has done does not come over night it takes time and sacrifice, he has every right to spend his money the way he pleases. all the other men mentioned above got the money from public institutions he did not , so shut up and try doing what he has doe I bet you won’t even make it half way.

Some people in these blogs especially the blog owners expose a self hating attitude that is unbelievable. Most of them sit in foreign lands and criticize based on tribal and party affiliations. What have you done to fix Kenya apart from whinning, hating and blaming problems on somebody else?

Thats his money accummulated through his own sweat.he did not cause the condition the idps found themselves in.however small the donation,am sure it helped give some of the idps few more days to breath as they waited for the ‘great donors’
